Introduction - In the Year 2012, Thirty One (31) Children Awaiting Your Support

Our Child Support program responds to the suffering of orphaned and underprivileged children. Most of these children are direct victims of HIV and AIDS. As their parents suffer from AIDS or die to the disease these children remain hopeless and helpless. Their dreams are buried together with the long-illness and death of their beloved parents and guardians. As we look into the eyes of the innocent children who are born with HIV, we are filled with trembling remorse, compassion and the challenge to with grace respond to their plight. Poverty is at high levels, unemployment has grown rapidly over the years, and even worse the global economic disaster has ravaged capital strength for survival. As Savannah we acknowledge that without constant care and support, their lives languish with pain, suffering and emptiness. For them, each day holds no good taste of the future.

What Does the Support Cover?
Our support to these children covers school fees, school uniforms, books, pens, school bags, toiletries, clothing and other needs of their daily lives. We give them hope and strength to pursue their dreams through education, counseling and guidance. Even when it’s hard for all of us, we still choose to help those who are weak and lacking. This is a huge responsibility that requires more hands than one; and service that seek more hearts than minds.

Why do we do what we do? (Our Call to Serve)
“For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me”. Thank you! (Matthew 25:35)

How can I help?
You can help by praying and financially supporting the children we serve. You can also reach out materially towards the needs of the children. Your support may cover a childs necessities partly or throughout the whole year of school. This is purported to cover the children’s necessities. It doesn’t matter how much you want to contribute. Your giving makes the whole difference. You can commit to contribute monthly, quarterly, twice a year or make a once-off contribution. Our support program is very flexible.

Savannah targets to support 31 children in the year 2012 with educational, financial and material coverage.

How is the Money Managed?
All the monies raised for the Child Support Program are used towards the needs of the children. This fund is also run and recorded separately to ensure complete accountability and transparency. Every transaction is processed three (3) distinct parties, and they are fully supported by signed official documentation.
